Joseph’s connection to immigration extends beyond his legal practice. As the son and husband of immigrants to the United States, he appreciates the uncertainty that families face when their plans depend on an immigration decision.

His work focuses on family and employment visas, permanent residence, consular processing, and naturalization. He helps clients understand their options and prepare for the steps ahead.

A foundation in advocacy.

Before establishing Moro Legal, Joseph worked in litigation at a national law firm. He also served Colorado as a Deputy State Public Defender, handling trial and appellate matters. That background informs his approach to preparation, analysis, and advocacy.

Education with an international focus.

At the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Joseph worked with the Transnational Legal Clinic on humanitarian immigration and migrant farmworker rights matters. He was a Senior Editor of the Journal of Law and Social Change and wrote his thesis on judicial review of naturalization denials.

He also earned a Wharton Certificate in Management. His undergraduate degree is in Spanish literature from Georgia State University, where he graduated summa cum laude. His studies included time at the Università degli Studi di Perugia in Italy.
